Laptop Distribution Information

All Liberty Middle school students will be assigned a FCPS laptop for the 2020-21 school year.

Distribution will occur during the week of August 24th.  We designed a curbside process to allow our families to pick up their computers with minimal contact and without having to enter Liberty Middle School. You will need to come to the parking lot with your students to log onto the network and retrieve the device. You will stay in your car the entire time. Again, your student MUST be with you.

Rising 7th graders: If you borrowed a laptop in the Spring and have not returned the laptop to your ES, you must return the laptop before coming to Liberty. We will not be able to assign a new laptop until it's returned and we cannot accept laptops from other schools.

Rising 8th graders: If you borrowed a laptop from Liberty in the Spring and have not returned it yet, please bring it with you to distribution or prior to distribution to the main office any day between 9-noon.

Below are the designated dates and times for laptop distribution.  This was done in order to manage the amount of traffic in our parking lot, pacing of distribution, and the needed work force to successfully distribute the devices. Please enter from the main entrance across from St. Andrews and follow the signs and traffic directors to the pickup location. The process is expected to take around 5-10 minutes with some additional steps to be completed at home.

Beginning of Year Forms

Since we will not have our annual Back to School Fair in the building this year, we ask that the Beginning of Year forms be brought in with you and your student when you come for your assigned laptop distribution day.  The only form that we do not need a physical copy of is the Emergency Care Card, as this is filled out and submitted online.  

This year, there will be 4 types of forms that you will need to access, two of which are online.

  1. *Required* Emergency Care Card (Online): This form can be accessed through weCare@school. Please make sure that the information on this form is correct and up to date.

  2. Health Information Form: This form can be accessed here. This is a REQUIRED form. This will need to be completed and brought in when you come to pick up your student’s laptop.

  3. Virtual Afterschool Registration Form: After-School Registration Form 2020-2021

  4. Various Opt-Out Forms: If you wish to opt your student out of anything, please follow this link here. This will take you to all the available opt-out forms.
