On Friday, December 6, on behalf of the Positivity Project and After School Program, a LMS Cooking Club representative,  delivered cookies to our local First Responders at the Centreville Firehouse.  Our delivery was scheduled with the intention of showing gratitude and love for those who go above and beyond! Liberty Lions believe #OtherPeopleMatter.

Our canned food drive ended on December 17! Liberty Middle School participated in a school-wide canned food drive, designed for Liberty staff and students to be part of something bigger than ourselves.  Our desire to show that we believe all people have value and that we were not too busy to help others, paid off when we took two truck loads of food to donate to others.  In our effort to make the world a better place, we are proud to say that we collected and delivered 1, 589 lbs of food to Western Fairfax Christian Ministries, a non-profit organization who provides food and financial support to those at risk of hunger and homelessness.  Way to go Lions and a special thanks to our SCA and NJHS organizations!!!
