The Region 4 Office is pleased to announce that Mr. Adam Erbrecht has been named the new principal for Liberty Middle School, effective September 10, 2018. 

Mr. Erbrecht brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Liberty Middle School.  Mr. Erbrecht began his career with Fairfax County Public Schools as a teacher in 2003.  In 2008 he was appointed as an assistant principal and served at Colin Powell Elementary School and Providence Elementary School until his appointment as principal of Daniels Run Elementary School in 2012.  Mr. Erbrecht was a nominee for the Fairfax County Public Schools Outstanding First-Year Principal of the Year in 2012, and as a Fairfax County Public Schools Outstanding Principal of the Year in 2017.

Mr. Erbrecht is a strong instructional leader who believes in promoting best practices for teaching and learning.  He builds relationships with staff, students, parents and community members.   

Mr. Erbrecht holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Grove City College in Pennsylvania, and a Master of Education in School Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia.  Throughout his tenure with FCPS, he has remained abreast of the latest trends in education and teacher leadership by attending workshops and becoming well-rounded in all aspects of best practice instruction.

Mr. Erbrecht looks forward to meeting with students, faculty/staff, families and the community.
