Staff can help with parenting advice, support, and tips to help navigate emotional and relational parenting issues. Language support is available. The support line is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 pm

Kinship Respite Services

ARE YOU A RELATIVE IN THE ROLE OF PARENT & READY FOR A BIT OF A BREAK?

The Respite to Recharge program is for relatives, close family members,
or friends who are raising children when parents cannot.

Free childcare for up to 10 hours a week for 8 weeks, giving you a well-deserved break!

How it Works:

  • Open to kinship (relative) caregiving families in Fairfax County and Falls Church who qualify based on income
  • Use your own respite provider (family, friend or community member), or  use our list if needed
  • Work with your respite provider to schedule and follow personal
    health precautions
