Rising 7th, 8th and 9th Grade Academic Advising and Course Selection
Below is information on events, timelines, and relevant details for the course selection process. We are making frequent updates to this information, please check back often to view changes!
Rising 7th Grade Information and Dates

| January 8th (Wednesday) | Curriculum Night | Incoming Liberty famalies are invited to Curriculum Night to learn about course offerings and meet with content teachers. Starts at 6:30 in the Cafeteria. Will include presentations by various administaros about different policies and expectations at Liberty. It will be followed by an Academic Information Fair in the gym at 7:15 PM. For those interested in the Music Program, a session specific to that department will take place at 6:00 in the Lecture Hall. |
| January 21st -January 23rd | Course Selection Review for eElementary Students | LMS Counselors will meet with Rising 7th grade students at their elementary school to discuss academic options for the school year and answer questions students. Students will also enter their classes in SIS. Parents will be able to view course selections via their SIS Parent/Vue account. |
Rising 8th Grade Information and Dates

| December 9th and 10th | Course Option Presentation | Liberty Middle School counselors will present course options to rising 8th grade students during PE classes. To assist in the advising process, students will receive a draft course selection sheet. This sheet will provide information about the available courses and help students make informed decisions. We encourage students to review this sheet carefully and discuss their options with their parents/guardians. |
| January 8th (Wednesday) | Curriculum Night | This is an opportunity for students to learn about classes and interact with teachers. Each department will have a table to use for a display, handouts, etc. Visit the Course Fair in the Gym at 6:15 PM. |
| January 13th (Monday) | Course Selection Sheets | Course Selection Sheets will be sent home! Parent/Guardian signature will be required. Signed course selection sheets due by Friday, January 24th to Unity Teachers. |
| January 24th (Friday) | Course Selection Entry | Signed course selection sheets due to Unity Teachers. Students will enter courses in SIS during Unity Time. |
| January 27th (Week of) | Course Selection Review | Students will meet with counselors to review course selections. |

| January 15th (Wednesday) | CVHS Curriculum Night | Please find more information about this event on Centreville High School Website |
| January 17th (Friday) | Trip to CVHS | Current 8th grade students will visit Centreville High School to learn about the courses and offerings provided at high school! In addition, they will learn about the expectations around being a high schooler! 9:50-12:10 |
| January 27th (Week of) | Course Selection Review | Students will meet with counselors to review course selections. |
| February 14th (Friday) | Final Course Selection | Students need to submit their final selections with in SIS. |
